Simpson grew up in and around the business working with his father and friends who were builders erecting boathouses, docks, lake homes and other structures. In addition to his hosting duties on HGTV, he contributes articles to a variety of consumer and trade publications and appears at trade and consumer home shows across the country.
"We're delighted to have Pat join the CedarSafe family," says Giles & Kendall CEO Bev Head. "Pat's home improvement talents and his easygoing personality make him a perfect fit for our brand."
Simpson's duties will include demonstrating the benefits of CedarSafe Natural Closet Liners at local and national media appearances, as well at seminars he conducts in various home shows.
"I'm excited about joining the CedarSafe team," says Simpson. "CedarSafe has made installing top quality cedar-lined closets easy and affordable for the do-it-yourself homeowner."
According to a recent CedarSafe® Natural Closet Liner/Insight Express survey of 1,000 adults, 41 percent would consider installing a cedar closet in their homes when informed about the good health and safety benefits— such as repelling and resisting moths, roaches, silverfish and mildew. Other benefits include that wonderful, forest-fresh cedar scent and the fact that a CedarSafe closet is a great place to store out-of-season clothes.
CedarSafe Natural Closet Liner planks and panels are made of 100 percent Aromatic Eastern Redcedar and actually line the walls of the closet. They work well with standard or custom racking, shelving, storage drawers or cabinetry.
The planks (MSRP: $29.95/box covers 15 square feet of wall space) provide an elegant look to a closet in a master bedroom. It would cost about $360 to line 180-square-feet of wall space with cedar planks. A 4'-by-8' panel covers 32 square feet of wall space (MSRP: $24.95 each). Panels are ideal for off-season storage areas, secondary closets and attics. It would cost about $150 to line180-square-feet of wall space with cedar panels. Both are do-it-yourself products that require only a claw hammer, tri-square, saw and nails or adhesive to install.
CedarSafe is the #1 cedar closet liner brand in America. It is manufactured in Huntsville, Ala. by Giles & Kendall. CedarSafe Natural Closet Liner planks and panels are available in the paneling or closet departments of Ace Hardware, Do It Best, Home Depot, Lowe's, Menards, True Value, and lumberyards throughout the United States and Canada.
