Cedar Care and Maintenance

CedarSafe® products require no finishing. In fact, to do so would seal in the aroma and defeat the purpose of the product. Over time, cedar oils may crystallize on the surface of the panels or planks, sealing in the aroma. However, the fresh scent can easily be regenerated with a light sanding as needed every few years.

If a light sanding does not restore the scent to your aromatic cedar, then we suggest applying Giles & Kendall's cedar oil to the surface.
